"Our collection is based on four types of vintage," said 1/OFF founder Renée van Wijngaarden. "For each type, we show a myriad of possibilities to transform the same piece into new forms."
"It's evolution in action," he continued. "As new mutations keep coming up, new species come into existence." The brand used vintage tablecloths, scarves, suiting and denim throughout the collection
Its Spring Summer 2023 collection was divided into four "worlds" each incorporating different types of repurposed vintage, which were differentiated throughout the show through their own styling, choreography and music.
"The goal of the show is to introduce more people to our clothing. And to show how things can be done differently, that the end of something can also be the beginning of something beautiful," said van Wijngaarden.
