2020 vision: Call for entries to Ventura Future exhibition at Milan design week
Dezeen promotion:Â entries are now open for the third edition of Ventura Project's Ventura Future showcase at Milan design week, which in 2020 will feature experimental design projects.
Between 21 to 26 April, the Ventura Future showcase will be taking over 3,500 square metres and two floors of the BASE Milano cultural project in the Tortona Design District.
Ventura Project will feature experimental designs at Milan design week
Last year, the former industrial complex played host to 83 exhibitors and 26,000 guests as part of the event, and the 2020 iteration promises to include an even wider range of projects.
The exhibition is looking forward to including work from architects and craftspeople as well as designers.
Specifically, the organisers are looking for projects that put a focus on process ? whether that's multidisciplinary or architectural design methods, modern craft techniques or designs for a circular economic system. Everyone from designers and studios, to institutions, academies, architects and labels are invited to submit their projects. The deadline is 17 November 2019.
Last year's Ventura Future show highlighted a cast of projects making use of alternative materials, including mineral wallpaper created by London-based studio Custhom, tiles made from post-consumer plastic waste by designer Enis Akiev, as well as a series of sugar-based candleholders and clocks by Studio Ludo...
