A hotel in Japan features in today's Dezeen Weekly newsletter

The latest edition of our Dezeen Weekly newsletter includes a hotel in Japan designed by Sou Fujimoto Architects.
The Shiroiya Hotel is located in Maebashi, Japan, and sits on the site of a former inn that hosted guests for over 300 years.
Sou Fujimoto Architects removed the original building's internal floors and added a grassy hill containing cabins.
Readers think the result is whimsical, with one calling the hotel a "fairytale with style".
Ten interiors with pastel colours that freshen up the home for spring
Other stories in this week's newsletter include 10 home interiors decorated in pastel colours, a fly-through video of a concept for the first permanent city on Mars, and an apartment building in New York designed by David Chipperfield Architects. Subscribe to Dezeen Weekly
