A selection of furniture pieces from Plank feature on Dezeen Showroom
Dezeen Showroom: Italian furniture manufacturer Plank has presented a range of tables and seating on Dezeen Showroom, which have been created by various designers, including a chair that mimics drawings made with a pen.Â
Swedish designer Björn Dahlström created the Velit chair for Plank, drawing on his background in graphic design to create a striking yet ergonomically sound seat.
The Velit chair is made of tubular steel
The chair is characterised by its seat and backrest, which are made up of a row of fine metal rods bent to comfortably seat the user in a laid-back position, encircled by a thicker frame and legs.
Velit is suitable for use in both indoor and outdoor settings and comes in a selection of powder-coated colours.
The Bench is constructed using an invisible pin mechanism German designer Konstantin Grcic's Bench collection for Plank features a hidden joinery system that allows the top and legs to be assembled without the use of tools.
Both the bench seats and tables are made from spruce timber and contain an invisible slotting system, allowing them to be moved and stored with ease.
Miura is stackable and comes in bright colours
Similarly portable and storable, Grcic's stackable Miura stool is made from reinforced polypropylene and comes in seven colours.
