Animated band members embark on a "quest for freedom" in Toybloïd music video
Music: Belgian studio Framekit based its animated music video for French band Toybloïd's track If You Dare on road trip films from the 1960s and 1970s (+ movie).
In the video, the band goes from skateboarding down a long road to hallucinating themselves performing on stage after drinking from a bottle labelled "If You Dare".
When creating the visuals, Framekit ? which is made up of directors Paulynka Hricovini and Anthony Sarrus ? were instructed to include the members of Toybloïd in the video.
"It became clear to us that we wanted to make them the main characters," the pair told Dezeen. "As we were developing the characters, we thought of all the young bands playing in their garages, trying to make it to the big scenes to become the next The Clash."
As the duo listened to the track, they were reminded of road trip and skating movies from the 1960s and 70s ? something that influenced both their choice of setting and style.

"That's what led us to place the whole video in this deserted American road," they said. "It was the perfect scene to show this quest for freedom and adventure that matches the lyrics."
"As for the visuals, we knew we wanted something punchy and colourful with a hint of the '70s retro style, such as cut-off shorts and high socks."
The video begins with the three band members skateboarding do...
