Architect Carol Marra to Share Climate-Resilient Design Strategies at Upcoming Forums
For over two decades, architect Carol Marra has been a leading voice in the conversation around designing for sustainability and climate resilience?not just in Australia but also in Asia, Scandinavia, and South America.
Her designs, for single and multi-residential projects through to entire precincts and masterplans, continue to push the envelope for what?s possible when it comes to sustainable design. As the climate crisis escalates, Carol?s expertise, ongoing research, and commitment to regenerative and responsive design all position her as a true innovator!
Local and global design communities have long lauded Carol?s commitment to reducing environmental impact and accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy. In her role as Co-Director of Sydney?s Marra+Yeh Architects, she is a sought-after architect and policy/planning advisor. Carol will be speaking at the following events in September.
The Climate Forum ? Friday 6 September (2pm to 6pm)
Carol will join this online forum, bringing together built environment professionals from around the country. In a session to be chaired by the City of Moreton Bay?s Emma Healy, Carol will explore ways to tackle knowledge gaps and embrace new tools and systems in the wake of changing climatic conditions. She will also be joined by Theresa Bower, Director of Burrundi Design Studio, and Ellen Buttrose, Cairns City Architect.
