Arthur Erickson Foundation launches celebrations of AE100 centennial

The Erickson family together with the Arthur Erickson Foundation (AEF) have announced the launch of AE100, a program of local and national celebrations, films, exhibits and lectures that will take place over 12 months in Erickson?s honour, beginning June 14, 2024 to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of architect Arthur Charles Erickson.
In honour of this milestone, June 14, 2024 will be proclaimed as ?Arthur Erickson Day? by the Office of the Mayor, City of Vancouver.
The Proclamation lauds Erickson, ??whose buildings have transformed cities and landscapes across Canada, the USA, and around the world, [and who] leaves his legacy in the work of generations of architects, interns, and students who were inspired by him and continue to be guided by his principles and ideas.? The following are a list of events that will celebrate the milestone.
Now until July 20:
A Refuge: Arthur Erickson. Co-curated by Clinton Cuddington and Hilary Letwin, this exhibition explores Arthur Erickson in the context of his own home in Point Grey, Vancouver, where he lived from 1957 to 2009. The exhibition features Selwyn Pullan’s photographs from the collection of the West Vancouver Art Museum of Erickson in his home and garden.
Spring and Summer 2024:
Guided tours of the Erickson House and Garden on Thursdays and Sundays.
Friday June 14 to 16, 2024:
