Atelier Event Space

ALLENKAUFMANN’s second project in the newly completed Design School building at Moritzplatz is on the rooftop with north and south balconies and almost a full glass curtain wall along the perimeter. The space is meant to host events and parties and to be extremely flexible and open.

Using a palette of tones the architects transformed a former yellow and gray space into a subtler nuanced light gray and white atmosphere, allowing the space to be defined by its user. For this project it was important for the ?design? or ?architecture? to not exist as a loud or obvious gesture, but to be a comfortable functional backdrop.
