VDF products fair: The AVL Workbench is a blocky table, created for Dutch design brand Lensvelt by Joep van Lieshout, that plays up the utilitarian nature of office furniture.
Its robust frame is rendered entirely in polyester and in a single colour, with options ranging from light pink and pastel green to classic black, white and beige.
The tabletop is a smooth surface, close to ten centimetres thick, that can be shaped either as a simple square or rectangle.
Meanwhile, the finish of the legs has been left rough to create a satisfying tactile contrast.
The table can be paired with a matching bench or with Lensvelt's AVL Spider Chair, which has an equally angular, wooden frame. Beyond this, the wider AVL collection also includes an office chair and an armchair ? all of which are currently on show as part of the VDF products fair.
