BDP Quadrangle and PARTISANS propose 66-storey Toronto tower
A proposed mixed-use building designed by collaborating architects BDP Quadrangle and PARTISANS for H&R REIT could rise 66 storeys above Toronto?s financial district, directly adjacent to King Station on the TTC?s Yonge subway line.

Located on the southeast corner of Yonge Street, 55 Yonge is a residential and office tower that will include nearly 500 new residential units. The tower would be used for commercial and residential purposes with two full storeys of retail as well as lobby spaces at the ground level
The 1958-completed 55 Yonge was designed by Canadian Modernist architect Peter Dickinson and by Page + Steele Architects. Rising up from the retail/lobby portion of the building is a podium containing 13 levels of office space, which replaces the offices that currently stand at 53 and 55 Yonge.

?With this rezoning application, we are proposing to redevelop the site with a new landmark commercial-residential building; a building that will provide a significant architectural contribution to this section of Yonge Street, one of the city?s iconic destinations and most important thoroughfares,? says the developers.
The building is designed to include approximately 13,000 square metres of retail space, 16,700 square metres of office space and mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units.
