Dezeen Showroom: Italian brand Pedrali has added an enclosed seating system, envisioned by Milanese design trio Busetti Garuti Redaelli, to its Buddy furniture range.
Named Buddy Hub, the seat is available as an armchair or an elongated sofa, wrapped with a sound-absorbing panel to create privacy for those using it.
"In line with the latest trend for office spaces with the wellbeing of workers in mind, the functional and efficient Buddy Hub offers an isolated alcove that encourages concentration and ensures acoustic and visual privacy," said Pedrali.

Created by industrial designers Manuela Busetti, Andrea Garuti and Matteo Redaelli, Buddy Hub features plump, rounded upholstery perched on black aluminium legs. The design can be finished in a range of different Pedrali fabrics, making it suitable for lounge areas and waiting rooms as well as offices.
With the help of an additional panel, two Buddy Hub units can also be connected to form an enclosed space for meetings.

Busetti Garuti Redaelli's design is an extension of the existing Buddy range, which includes various kinds of rounded seating.
