RMJM Shenzhen has been awarded the design of the Shenzhen Campus of Sun Yat-sen University in what?s proving to be a very productive 2017 for the company

The new campus will be located in the Guangming District, where the Dongguan Yellow River meets the Gongzhu Mountain, and will house medical and science facilities for 20,000 students. Stage one of the project will cover an area of 150 hectares, with a construction area of 1,200,000 m².
The concept, developed in collaboration with Professor He Jintang of the SCUT Architectural Design and Research Institute, draws inspiration from the natural landscape surrounding the Campus as well as from Sun Yat-sen University?s long history and was developed adhering to four key themes: Mountain, River, Ritual and Learning.

The mountain shape of the development is displayed through buildings set within a band of greenery to form a structure with architecture-ecological integration.
