Canadian Centre for Architecture seeks new Director
The Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA) is set to appoint a new Director in 2018, with candidates now sought for the position. As outlined in a recently published job posting, “the Director has the overall responsibility for the organization and drives its vision as well as pursuing a model for sustainable business and alignment of its operations.”
Founded by Phyllis Lambert in 1979, the Canadian Centre for Architecture is an international research institution operating from the fundamental premise that architecture is a public concern. Since its inception, the CCA has aimed t0 increase public awareness of the role of architecture in contemporary society and promote research in the field.
Since opening to the public in 1989, the Montreal-based institution has organized over 200 exhibitions, while publishing over 100 books. Operating with a staff of approximately 100, the CCA stakes a strong Canadian and international presence, bolstered by affiliations with a vast global network of architectural institutions and museums.
