Cinque Ports / JDA
This unique site is situated in the heart of the ancient Cinque Port town of Rye. The site was formally an industrial site which was demolished in 2002 leaving a derelict infill site in the town centre. The site also has the remains of the medieval town walls running through the site which are protected as a scheduled ancient monument. Significant archaeological digs and studies were carried out to inform the design parameters and to avoid disruption to the remains.Â
