Competition: win a book detailing 50 rooftop designs from around the world
Dezeen is giving readers the chance to win a copy of a book that details a selection of rooftop designs in cities such as Hong Kong, Sydney and Chicago.
Reinventing the Rooftops by Philip Jodidio is a catalogue of some of the world's most interesting rooftops, ranging from rooftop bars and restaurants to installations and gardens.

A selection of 50 "intelligent and exuberant designs" are detailed through photographs and illustrations by Boyoun Kim.

"As urban living intensifies in density and numbers, the city landscape expands both outwards and upwards," the author continued. "Architects investigate existing buildings for potential reinvention; the roof is now a city space in and of itself."
Reinventing the Rooftops includes work from Pritzker Prize winners Norman Foster, Julien De Smedt and Shigeru Ban.
