Industrial designer Francisco Gomez Paz and lighting designer Daniel Rybakken will discuss their latest projects ? two new chandeliers for Luceplan ? in a conversation moderated by Dezeen founder and editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs.
During New York design week Luceplan will launch two new chandeliers, including Daniel Rybakken's Stochastic chandelier
The oversubscribed event is invitation-only and will take place at Luceplan's showroom in Soho, New York on Saturday 14 May, followed by a cocktail party. Norwegian designer Daniel Rybakken, who has studios in Oslo and Gothenburg, created the Stochastic chandelier for Luceplan. The light feature spheres of glass held at different heights by steel rods, which can be changed to allow for different combinations of the clusters.
Francisco Gomez Paz's Mesh chandelier will also be unveiled during the design week
His other projects include a table lamp that dims as it moves down a thin vertical stand and a lamp filtered through layers of coloured screens.
