The construction of Santiago Calatrava?s pavilion in the UAE has just started. The pavilion is intended to be one of the main features of Dubai Expo which is going to be held in 2020.

The falcon-resembling pavilion will spread across an area of 15,000 sqm and will be composed of four storeys. It will encompass a 1,717 sqm guest lounge at the upper floor, in addition to a multi-purpose mezzanine floor with an area of 588 sqm. The 12,000 sqm of the two remaining storeys will be dedicated for exhibition areas.

The pavilion, which is being constructed by Arabtec Construction, is slated to complete in 2019.
