Contemporary Elegance in Solitutide – Winter Chalet Camelot by con3studio
Today we are presenting a home with a simple minimal approach to design, one that has allowed the surrounding scenery to really shine through and overpower the insertion itself, which is subdued to the natural. Near the Italy and France border a chalet was designed by Italy-based con3studio in a rough, bold shape, trying to mimic the rocky landscape of the mountains. Wood and glass have been chosen as primary materials for the insertion, the massive glazed walls left opaque at the exterior to reflect the powerful landscape.
Chalet Camelot, as it is entitled, is meant to allow the natural habitat to function without intrusion whilst preserving the privacy, intimacy and comfort of its inhabitants. The prefabricated architectural piece showcases a masculine, black, white and grey interior design offering a strong contrast with the white pure showcase offered by the natural during winter or the bright green of spring and summer. The home used comfortable materials indoors and oriented the living space towards the beautiful scenery with a corner fireplace designed to offer warmth and coziness.
A modern lounge chair in leather allows its owner to relax and admire the scenery.
