Eight Panama City architecture studios captured by Marc Goodwin
Photographer Marc Goodwin has captured the architecture offices of eight firms based in Panama's capital city for his latest studio photography set.Â
The Panama City series features a much smaller amount of studios in comparison to Goodwin's previous sets, which have captured studios in city's with booming architecture scenes, like Mexico City and Los Angeles.
"This was a fairly small scene with a limited number of studios doing most of the notable projects there," Goodwin told Dezeen. "In my short time there I felt like I was really able to get a decent picture of the designers of the built environment."
The photographer, who runs the studio Archmospheres, captured the working environments of eight just before December last year. He said that he found the tropical climate to be both a surprise and challenge. "Panama is so near the equator that the temperature is nearly constant year-round," Goodwin told Dezeen."The balmy weather was an interesting challenge I was not prepared for physically or mentally, my brain kept screaming 'but it's winter!'".
Highlights in the series are the open-plan offices of Mallol Arquitectos and Ventura Office. The latter features an exposed concrete structure that frames a huge window to a bed of tropical planting ? a key detail that the photographer noted on his ventures of the city.
"There are lush green plants growing everywhere ? incredibly beautiful!," he told Dezeen.
