Finalists announced for Place des Montréalaises landscape architecture competition
Last year, the Ville de Montréal launched an international multidisciplinary landscape architecture competition for the spatial planning of Place des Montréalaises. The competition invited design concepts for Place des Montréalaises, a new downtown public space adjacent to Champ-de-Mars métro station, including a pedestrian overpass leading to Champ-de-Mars. With 30 eligible submissions now reviewed, the Design Montréal jury has chosen a shortlist of finalists.

The five finalists are:
Arcadia + civiliti + PARA-SOL, in partnership with Lasalle | NHC, Groupe EGP, Sybil McKenna, and Jean-François Barsoum
BC2 Groupe Conseil, in partnership with Daily tous les jours, joined in stage 2 by Lapointe Magne & Associés, CIMA+, and WORKac Bureau Bas Smets and Pelletier de Fontenay, joined in stage 2 by WAA Montréal, NEUF architect(e)s, Latéral s.e.n.c., and WSP Canada
Lemay, joined in stage 2 by SNC Lavalin
Mandaworks and Sid Lee Architecture, joined in stage to by OPTION Aménagement and GBI Experts-Conseils
Each finalist will now be called upon to publicly present a service offering to the jury. At the conclusion of this stage, which is paid, the jury will recommend a winner. All finalists must attend a mandatory individual information meeting with the Ville de Montréal.
