Marking the celebrated architect?s eighth exhibition with the gallery, Spinning Tales pairs large-scale elaborations on the Fish Lamps series with a new sculptural installation, Wishful Thinking (2021), based on the Mad Hatter?s tea party in Alice?s Adventures in Wonderland. While Fish Lamps is an independent body of work, the ?perfect form? of the creature from which it takes its name reappears throughout Gehry?s architectural oeuvre as a key inspiration for his own formal and technical innovations.
