The name Hilfiger is synonymous with good taste, one of the world?s most popular luxury product lines including clothing, fragrances and home furnishings. Much of the brand?s early success was due to Susie Cirona who met Tommy Hilfiger in 1976 when she took a job working in his small clothing store, People?s Place, in Ithaca, New York. Married in 1980, Susie helped her husband build the Hilfiger brand from their obscure startup into a world-class conglomerate that was sold in 2006 for $1.6 billion. The celebrity couple had four children in their 20-year marriage, before a divorce in 2000.
In 1995, the Hilfigers bought their family home, the 17-acre Denbigh Farm in Greenwich, Connecticut, for $8.5 million.
