Dezeen Showroom: Spanish studio MUT Design's Grill collection for outdoor furniture brand Diabla has seating and tables with graphic lines that reference the geometric artworks of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian.
Grill was informed by iron grids and the furniture is made from textured, thermo-lacquered aluminium tubes, which give it a coherent, symmetric look.
The collection's linear design works equally well indoors and outdoors.

"The Grill design is very modern. However it can also fit into rustic environments and at the same time in other more contemporary spaces," MUT Design explained.
"In a classic environment, it can bring a casual touch without being loud ? it can be played around with." Lightweight aluminium makes the pieces easy to move while the armless chair is also stackable. The sculptural pieces come in a variety of colours, including pale pink, to suit any environment.
As well as tables and chairs, the Grill collection includes sofas and lounge chairs that can be padded out with removable cushions, which come in outdoor fabrics of different colours and textures.
