Dezeen promotion: design brand Humanscale has released a minimalist LED desk lamp for people who spend all day in front of a computer.
Designed by the Humanscale Design Studio, the Infinity table lamp is the newest edition to Humanscale's lighting range, which is designed for use in offices and other workplaces.

The lamp is designed to appear "sleek and timeless", with a steel and iron body, and a circular base and head. It features a bright LED light that casts a single shadow, intended to reduce eye strain when working at a computer.
"Because computers, laptops and tablets are backlit, our eyes need as much as 20 times more light when reading paper-based documents," said the brand.
"Our task lights offer comfortable lighting for every user, and they are simple to adjust too."
The lamp is designed to work with height-adjustable desks and bench workstations. Its positioning can be adjusted with a hinge on the neck of the product, supported by a series of torques and springs for extra stability.
It is available in a semi-matt finish and a series of colours, including black, white and blue.

Made of 90 per cent recyclable aluminium and iron, the Infinity lamp is designed with sustainability in mind. It features in-built dimmer sensors that automatically turn the light off when it is not in use.
