IKEA KÃ¥ma Sutra manual offers more satisfaction in the bedroom
IKEA has devised the "ultimate guide to bedroom satisfaction" with its own playful version of the KÃ¥ma Sutra, which proposes bedroom layouts including Lotus Flower and Doggy Style.
Swapping out sex positions for interior arrangements, IKEA's KÃ¥ma Sutra book is designed to help you "master the art of loving your bedroom" by offering a series of design solutions and layouts for your sleeping space.
The tongue-in-cheek campaign is two-fold, including both a digital manual and an online video advertisement that offers to help to those who have grown bored of the "same old bedroom positions" achieve their own "bedroom nirvana".
"Are you getting enough satisfaction in your bedroom"" the ad asks. "If you want more, there's no shame in that. Ikea has spent years studying life at home to help every bedroom lover reach the highest level of fulfilment."
As a playful adaptation of the ancient Sanskrit text on sexuality and eroticism, the IKEA KÃ¥ma Sutra explores 20 different "bedroom positions", ranging from classic and maximalist to modern and minimal.
While there are no physical copies of the book, consumers can digitally flip through the manual's various via a link on IKEA's website.
Each double-page spread features the name of the position and a short description on one side, and an illustration of it on the other, with shopping labels attached to items that viewers can click to buy.
