Hong Kong Flat Interactive Interior
The living room in such small flat is only area to become a flexible function room. And an Interactive sliding door is only solution to prevent interuption form other side of living room but without sacrificing the quality of the dinning area.
The 4 panels of sliding door consist of 20 shutter moudule. Basically the shutters are open but the random angles of opening will be small when the dinning area is occupied. But the people left, the opening will turn larger again.
Every single panel will close it’s shutters when people get close to that panel. Also, the shutters will slightly open again when people go far from the panel.
There, despite the sliding door closed, natural lighting and ventilation can still benefit the dinning area, without leaving potential interuption to the living room.
Each shutter is laser cut and consist of dozens of parts, including a servo motor in each shutter. The servo motor accurately control the angle of the shutter, that’s why the shutters can be open with random angle but instantly close when open up the sliding door.
It is really exciting for us to have this ...
