Kaolin x Taubmans Collaboration tile collection by Kaolin
Dezeen Showroom: Australian paint brand Taubmans and tile maker Kaolin have combined their expertise to produce a collection of tiles with a paint-like finish.
The Kaolin x Taubmans Collaboration collection features large-format tiles with a surface texture reminiscent of brushstrokes. It comes in eight colours drawn from the Taubmans 2024 Colour Forecast, a curated palette combining global trends with an Australian aesthetic sensibility.
The Kaolin x Taubmans Collaboration tiles have a paint-like finish
The collection marks the first time that popular brand Taubmans has undertaken a collaboration with another manufacturer, after the companies were drawn together by what they described as a shared spirit of innovation and complementary strengths. "This collection not only reflects a shared commitment to innovation and design excellence but created an exceptional Paint collection with a brushstroke look in a matt texture, a testament to the seamless fusion of Taubmans' expertise and Kaolin's artistic vision," said Kaolin tiles.
The colour options include the green hue Albion Park
Kaolin's design teams translated Taubman's colour forecast for the project, with hues including light green, deep navy blue and earthy terracotta.
Kaolin says the tiles are suitable for applications ranging from residential to commercial spaces, and suggests that they can be used to create a smooth transition from painted surfaces to tiled floors, wet areas, walls or integrated vanities.
