Lilly outdoor seating collection by Democràcia Estudio for Diabla

Dezeen Showroom: Democràcia Estudio's Lilly seating collection for Spanish outdoor furniture brand Diabla pays homage to the late designer and Bauhaus professor Lilly Reich.
Reich worked closely with Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, who was also her husband, on designs including the seminal Barcelona chair.
Her work, which Democràcia Estudio says is often "unfairly forgotten", informed the timeless design of the Lilly collection.
The Lilly chair is named after Bauhaus designer Lilly Reich
Lilly consists of two lightweight modular armchairs that can be combined to form a larger seat and come with or without armrests.
The outdoor chairs have a tubular frame made from thermo-lacquered steel and a comfortable, removable seat. The wide, practical armrests can also be used as small tables for a drink or laptop. "Lilly's shapes resemble many of the processes that Lilly Reich used, for example the metal curves and the winding lines that draw each element," the studio explained.
"If we follow its exterior structure, we can see a meandering figure that never begins or ends."
