LSEV: Polymaker and XEV Release The World’s First 3D Printed Cars
There is no wonder 3d printing is making a huge buzz in the world of architecture, design, and engineering, but did you know you can drive 3d-print cars" 3D printing technologies are increasingly being used to offer affordable mass-produced solutions. Now, they’re also making their way to the automotive world with 3d printed cars.
Resulting from a collaboration between the Chinese printing company, Polymaker and the Italian car company, X Electrical Vehicle (XEV), the 3d printed car LSEV has come to life and has already reached 7000 pre-orders. Designed by senior designer Guo Xiaozheng, the world’s first mass-produced car is expected to hit the streets by the end of 2019.

Claiming to be the world’s first series of sustainable, mass-produced, 3D-printed cars, LSEV is composed of only 57 parts! Priced at $7,500 USD, the 3d printed car LSEV presents an affordable solution for city drivers.
Although you would expect that 3D printed cars would offer very limited options, LSEV allows drivers to reach a speed of 43 miles per hour. Additionally, each charge allows drivers to cover a distance of 93 miles. However, it is still considered as a “low-speed” vehicle.
