Luminous Loft in Amsterdam Redesign by Bureau Fraai
A simple luminous loft in Amsterdam redesigned by Bureau Fraai surfaced the internet upon its completion in 2015. The project materialized in Netherlands measures 603 square feet and its radical transformation echoes around the world as a design example.
The previous interior compartmentalization has been eradicated giving birth to an open floor plan that could not allow proper communication in the establishment. The redesign has at its core the design of a wooden ribbon in a light tone. This element defines the apartment as it travels through, shaping essential functions for the inhabitants, allowing it to breathe in the light.
Clutter has perished into the process thanks to the extensive storage now sheltered by the ribbon; light is now present at all times, guarding the ethereal ambiance created.
