Memorable collection by HBF Textiles
Dezeen Showroom: the final range by HBF Textiles' long-serving designer Mary Jo Miller, this textile collection brings together a poetic pattern, a deeply textured weave and supple leathers.
Memorable is the final collection from Miller, who is retiring after more than 30 years at HBF Textiles, where she is now vice-president of design and creative direction.
The Memorable collection features three new designs by Mary Jo Miller
HBF Textiles describes her as a "champion of female design empowerment" who interpreted her own life through her work, transcending "mere fabric" to communicate themes of reunion, connection and introspection.
The collection features Daydreamer, a mottled pattern supposedly inspired by the human tendency to find familiar shapes in random stimuli, which is made from 100 per cent recycled plastic yarn. Heft Herringbone has a rich texture
There is also the woven chenille Hefty Herringbone, which has a texture suggesting years of love and wear despite its high durability ? it is said to have passed the Wyzenbeek abrasion test of 100,000 double rubs with no wear.
Rounding out the collection is the Glovely leather, named for its supple, glove-like finish. Made in a tannery renowned for its sustainability standards, the leather is soft enough to be used to upholster detailed seating such as swivel-tilt executive chairs.
