Micha Weidmann Studio uses colour and movement to animate Dezeen Awards ceremony
Graphic designer Micha Weidmann Studio has collaborated with photographer Leon Chew to create the visual identity for tonight's Dezeen Awards ceremony.
The ceremony, hosted by Sir Lenny Henry, will feature a series of specially created movies that reference the venue, which is a former industrial space in an iconic London art gallery.

Swiss designer Weidmann has worked with Dezeen for over a decade, designing the Dezeen logo in 2007 and redesigning the site in 2016, while Leon Chew is an independent photographer who works in the fields of architecture and the arts. Weidmann and Chew collaborated to create a series of abstract images and films with integrated typographyThey collaborated "to create a series of abstract images and films with integrated typography, creating a visual language which advertises, informs and guides, as well as structures the campaign and the ceremony," Weidmann said.
"In a further reference to the former use of the venue, a colour palette was developed which references the inverted rainbows of oil and thin-film interference," he explained.
