Readers are saddened to learn that Glaser, best known for designing the iconic "I New York" logo in 1977, passed away earlier this week on his 91st birthday. He was in New York at the time.
A career spanning over 60 years saw Glaser co-found New York magazine, design posters for Bob Dylan and create logos for Brooklyn Brewery and DC Comics.
Designer Jonathan Barnbrook wrote a tribute on Facebook, which read: "One of the most influential designers in the history of design. "I can't think of a designer who will be more missed by our community."
