A surprise brief will be handed out to each team at the start of the competition, along with a limited amount of supplies, including plywood, screws, nails, brackets, fabric, and a StopGap.ca access ramp. Industry leaders have graciously volunteered their time to act as mentors and judges during the competition. Carpenters? Union (Local 27) will provide hands-on support to the teams and help with construction. The event is organized by a team of Ryerson students. ?We created this competition to get future architects, engineers and professional trades working together before they graduate and enter the workforce. Since the beginning, we?ve felt a real sense of community around TimberFever, where everyone comes together to collaborate, teach and inspire. TimberFever will be held at Ryerson University for the first two days of the competition, followed by University of Toronto for the last two days of the competition.
