Text description provided by the architects. This is a typical small-scale apartment project in Ha Noi, Viet Nam. The special feature of the project is the emphasis on functionality as it covers the needs of a family of a mother and two sons.

The kitchen is an open space which is connected with the living room and the dining area.
The kitchen island which incorporates seating becomes the focal point for eating, cooking, socializing, working and even looking after the kids after school.
In the common area there is a multifunctional cabinet: a shoe cabinet, a bookcase, a dining table and desks for the two boys. The cabinet systems are all curved to make the house more beautiful. A large mirror is placed on the wall in the living room to enlarge the area and reflect more light. The mirror is also used for personal grooming and getting dressed. The highlight of the common area is a lot of souvenirs from memorable family trips which are hung on the walls and placed on top of the cabinets.
The master bedroom is converted into the shared bedroom for the two boys, instead of the mother. A system of cabinets is used to divide the room into two separate spaces with two single beds. A large world map is placed on the wall to make the space look bigger.
