New heritage certificate program offered by University of Calgary
The School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape at the University of Calgary is offering a new certificate program, tailored to early- and mid-career professionals interested in expanding their knowledge in heritage conservation.
The Built and Landscape Heritage Certificate can be completed within one year, and is intended to enhance the practice of heritage professionals, consultants and policy-makers. The curriculum content explores the links between heritage conservation theory and practice. It uses the lens of research, policy analysis and design intervention at different scales?from single sites to broad landscape complexes. The deadline to apply to the 2019-2020 program is September 1, 2019. The first course towards the certificate, “Principles of Heritage Conservation,” is being offered as a block-course from October 22 to 26, 2019.
