LWK + PARTNERS designs a culturally-engaging, healthy promenade in eastern Hong Kong
LWK + PARTNERS has designed the North Point Landscape Boardwalk & Promenade Park in Hong Kong, China, in collaboration with Meinhardt Infrastructure and Environment Ltd. It represents LWK + PARTNERS Landscape Team?s latest major public project in the city after the ongoing Kai Tak Promenade and The Lyric Theatre.
As part of Hong Kong?s ongoing harbourfront enhancement, North Point Landscape Boardwalk & Promenade Park aims to beautify, utilise and revitalise a stretch of much neglected space under the Island East Corridor ? a major highway connecting key points along the southern shore of Victoria Harbour. The two-kilometre walkway enhances connectivity along the whole shoreline, as well as creates a lively public space for the neighbourhood and an attractive destination for festivals and the weekends.
