Designed in 2013 by Logg Arkitekter, this contemporary two-story house featuring an amazing sea view is located in Oslo, Norway.

Description
This new house replaces a demolished house at the end of a cul-de-sac at Plateskogen Høvik outside Oslo.
The property is situated near the sea and has fantastic views over the Oslo fjord. The height restriction was a challenge and much difficulty was resolved by locating the house at the rear of the plot so that the entire north wall remained below ground and with only a longitudinal skylight providing daylight.
An underground garage provides access to the other floors via elevator. The basement serves as a heavy base that anchors the house to the plot. The top floor, which houses the main facilities, ?floats? on the base with a cantilevered volume that forms a covered entrance. Materials
The house mainly consists of white, pigmented plaster, stone walls, and elements of IPE as sun shading. The roof is covered with sedum and its details are covered with pre-weathered zinc. External concrete walls with integrated lighting provide sheltered access.
