Plant outdoor lights by Thomas Bernstrand for Zero Lighting
Dezeen Showroom: Swedish designer Thomas Bernstrand has worked with local brand Zero Lighting to create Plant, a family of lights that was informed by outdoor plant life.
Plant comes as a bollard or wall fixture and can be customised with a rounded, cylindrical or conical shade, designed to suggest the shape of different flower heads.
Constructed using weather-resistant materials and available in a black or corten finish, the light can be placed outside among greenery or used to illuminate walkways.
The design is available as a sconce (top image) or a bollard (above)
The Plant sconce has a simple, circular fixture while the bollard features a long cylindrical body, much like a stem, that recesses near the top to emit a larger radius of light.
According to Zero Lighting, the design can be placed either "in majestic isolation or in groups". "Inspired by outdoor plants, its three different shades offer a playful place in the city landscape," the brand added.
