Plenary Consortium Selected for Corner Brook Acute Care Hospital
Corner Brook Health Partnership has been selected to design, build, finance and maintain a new acute care hospital in Corner Brook with an estimated contract of $750 million.

At a press conference announcing the winning bid, the Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador stated that Plenary?s consortium contract is a representation of the most expensive public infrastructure project built in western Newfoundland.
?We are thrilled to once again be partnering with Western Health and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to bring new and expanded health care services to the region,? said Angela Clayton, Plenary?s Group Head ? Buildings Division.
The Corner Brook Health Partnership consortium includes:
Developer and equity member: Plenary Group
Equity member: PCL Investments Canada Inc.
Design-builder: PCL Constructors Canada Inc./Marco
Mechanical-electrical Contractor: Cahill Group / Plan Group
Architect: B+H Architects/Parkin
Facilities Management: Johnson Controls
The seven-storey, 600,000 square foot hospital will be connected to the 145-bed long-term care home that Plenary Health is currently building on the site.
The site will also include 164 beds with the same services currently provided at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, as well as an expanded cancer care program including radiation services.
