The Quartier des Spectacles Partnership in Montréal, ExpoCité in Québec City, and Yonge Dundas Square (YDS) in Toronto, supported by the City of Montréal, City of Toronto, City of Québec City and City of London, Ontario, are announcing a call for proposals for an interactive installation in public spaces.
This initiative, led by Quartier des spectacles international, reflects the shared vision of these organizations to explore public spaces as a platform for artistic expression and public engagement.
This call for proposals aims to invite creative teams to develop a concept that encompasses the disciplines represented in each partner city: literature (Québec), design (Montréal), media arts (Toronto), and music (London, Ontario). Proposals submitted in response to this call must clearly demonstrate the incorporation of each city’s creative field in relation to its UNESCO designation. This can be achieved through the collaboration of talents from the partner cities, where each discipline aligns with the corresponding city’s designation. Alternatively, proposals may integrate an artistic component or element from the partner cities that aligns with their designation.
The selected creative team will be commissioned to create and construct a comprehensive design. The interactive installation will be presented in Québec City beginning in the fall of 2024, followed by the other three cities.
