Punto Surf
Located in a commercial area to the west of the city of Guadalajara, the project developed from the idea of creating a building with a removable metal frame capable of holding a machine with artificial waves for surfing, complemented by an architectural program consisting of bathroom/dressing rooms, restaurant and administration which orbit around the main attraction.
The lower floor is equipped with admission, reception, bathroom/dressing rooms, seating area and wave machine. Upstairs we find the administrative area, bar and restaurant. All areas have large windows to watch the activity in the wave machine.
All interior spaces of the building develop around the main attraction, which is visible from most of the areas. To provide natural lighting, the project has an interior courtyard visible from anywhere and working also as visual kick in income. The main space of the wave machine is double height and also has a retractable roof that simulates surfing outdoors.
