Rado to launch four new watches in virtual design week on Dezeen
Dezeen has teamed up with Rado to present Rado Design Week, a week of virtual content exploring the design of the Swiss watch brand's four unique new timepieces.
Rado Design Week will be hosted on Dezeen from 30 November to 4 December, showcasing watch designs by four renowned studios: Italian duo Formafantasma, British designer Tej Chauhan, Japanese studio YOY and Indian duo Thukral & Tagra.
Each of these designers has created an addition to Rado's True Square Collection, a range of watches characterised by square faces. This collection is one of Rado's most iconic, with a shape that's rooted in the brand's history.
"Cutting-edge and futuristic designs"
These new Rado watches draw on the brand's history as a pioneer of high-tech materials and innovative technologies, but also look to the future. The designers have worked with contemporary shapes, finishes and displays to create watches with a distinctly modern feel.
"You can expect cutting-edge, out-of-the-box and futuristic designs that make each of these timepieces unique, beautiful and functional," said Rado.
For the first four days of Rado Design Week, Dezeen will present videos revealing the design concept behind each watch.
Dezeen editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs will also conduct live interviews with Rado CEO Adrian Bosshard and each of the designers, which will be broadcast live on Dezeen throughout the week.
The week will conclude with an exclusive competition, offering Dezeen readers a chance...
