Dezeen Showroom: the Rammed Earth Finishes range of clay plaster by UK brand Clayworks is designed to create monolithic and earthy wall finishes.
As its name suggests, the surface collection is designed by Clayworks to resemble rammed earth ? a sustainable and ancient building technique that relies on natural materials.
It is intended for use on internal walls and made entirely from natural clays, minerals, sands, making it an eco-friendly alternative to traditional wall coverings.

"Made, like the real thing, from 100 per cent natural clays, minerals, sands and coloured with natural earth pigments, this surface material is able to achieve the authenticity and feel of monolithic rammed earth," explained the brand. The Rammed Earth Finishes clay plasters are applied with a thickness of 10 millimetres and can be made in a variety of tones using natural pigments.

According to Clayworks, the available colours allow architects and designers to replicate different styles of rammed earth that are used around the world.
