The Rector Place Apartment, designed by Pelletier Salgado in 2013, showcases a harmonious blend of modern design and thoughtful lighting solutions within a spacious 4-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath apartment in the heart of New York City’s Battery Park City neighborhood.
By utilizing a step in the slab above, the designers created a singular, narrow cove light that extends throughout the living areas, unifying the space with a continuous band of even illumination while preserving the apartment’s generous ceiling height.
