Every two years, the Alberta Association of Architects (AAA) hosts a conference that brings speakers from around the globe to share ideas, innovation and ingenuity. Taking place in the breathtaking remoteness of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, Banff Session offers an arena of open dialogue that is unencumbered by workplace pressures and distractions. This year, the conference returns on May 11 & 12.
Registration for the 2018 Banff Session is now open, with early bird pricing ?which offers a savings of $100 ? available until March 15. This year, the biennial Banff Session will also host the 2018 Prairie Design Awards, which recognize architectural excellence from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.

Every two years, The Alberta Association of Architects, The Saskatchewan Association of Architects and The Manitoba Association of Architects celebrate those setting new standards of creativity and skill in architecture and interior design. This tri-provincial collaboration has been recognizing design excellence since its inauguration in 2000. The Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum by Teeple Architects is a past Prairie Design Awards winner.
