Located in the countryside of northern Italy, a house that can turn around 360 degrees has been unveiled by Italian architect Roberto Rossi. Overlooking the picturesque landscapes of the Italian countryside, this octagonally shaped home can be mechanically rotated clockwise or anti-clockwise.This dynamic home is designed according to the specific requirements of the client. It is firmly supported by a large central pillar. Other than providing views of the natural scenery, the rotation is used to provide the best orientation for the solar panels which are placed on the roof of the house.Rossi claims that the house is able to generate its own energy as the photovoltaic panels efficiently make use of the sun all day. Also, heat pumps and a solar thermal system help with producing the needed energy to run the house.Interestingly, this house is not the first spinning Italian home! Rossi?s rotating house is inspired by Villa Girasole; another dynamic home designed during the 1930s by architects Angelo Invernizzi and Ettore Fagiuoli in Marcellise. Roberto Rossi has been creating innovative work in the field of industrial design and architecture.
