Soft brown leather seats and a grey-toned iron bar feature inside this seafood restaurant overlooking Copenhagen's Torvehallerne food market.

Danish firm Space Copenhagen based its interior design for the Musling restaurant on its surroundings, and used simple materials and colours.

"[We] worked towards an understated and honest approach to materials and ambiance, creating a space that reflects the nature of the open markets and resources outside ? focusing on authenticity," said the studio.

The space features stained oak flooring, burnished steel tables, warm leather, natural surfaces and simple warm lighting.

High tables with corresponding barstools were all designed by the firm, along with the restaurant's centrepiece ? a long iron bar.
Above the bar area, pendant lighting covered by crumpled paper shades diffuse the light and create a soft glow.

Musling is situated on the edge of Copenhagen's Torvehallerne food market, where over 60 stands sell fresh produce and small dishes.
Other places to eat in the Danish city include a garden-inspired Nordic restaurant with an indoor greenhouse, and a south American cafe covered in ceramic tiles by BIG and Kilo Design.
