Sweeny & Co Architects to Design McMaster?s DeGroote School of Business Addition
Sweeny & Co Architects has been selected to design the McLean Centre for Collaborative Discovery, a new addition to the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University?.
A 9-storey building that includes state-of-the-art classrooms, student meeting and collaboration space, and interactive technology will be constructed on the Westdale campus at a site adjacent to the School of Business.
The addition is set to feature integrated technology for campus life, business applications and building operations in support of the health and wellness of students, faculty and staff.
According to Sweeny & Co Architects, the design will anticipate and embrace the integration of leading-edge technology/systems of cross-functional and interactive tools. The firm further states that these tools reflect current business practices with broad based IT, AV, personal devices and building management.
Formed in 1988, Sweeny & Co Architects? Toronto-based firm gained expertise working with other institutions including University of Toronto, Ryerson University, OCAD University, Laurentian University and UOIT.
