Tacoma sconce by Astro Lighting
Dezeen Showroom: Gothic-style architecture and mid-century design informed the wall-mounted Tacoma lamps by British brand Astro Lighting.
Created as part of Astro Lighting's 2020 autumn/winter collection, the Tacoma lights were designed to be a more decorative addition to the manufacturers' product range.

"Taking inspiration from gothic-style architecture, Tacoma marries ribbed glass globes and a statuesque metal stem to deliver a dramatic wash of light within both contemporary and traditional settings," said Astro Lighting.
The sconce consists of a simple, linear mount, which comes in matt black, antique brass or polished chrome. A mouth-blown globe acts as the shade and is rendered either in clear, white, smoked or ribbed glass. The design is also available as a double-ended version, which has one light at the top and another at the bottom of the fixture.

"Like most of our designs, myself and our design director James take influence from the world around us, creating products we truly admire and would have in our own homes," said senior designer Riley Sanders.
